President-Elect
This is a progressive, three-year position serving one year each as President-Elect, President, and Past-President. During the first year as President-Elect, this position is responsible for the planning of the agenda for the annual National Meeting as well as assisting the President. The second year, as President, he/she is responsible for setting Board of Directors' meeting, sending welcome letters to new IFAS license holders/BSNUG members, acting as liaison to Bi-Tech Software, answering pertinent correspondence, and serves as Chair and organizer of the National Meeting. As Past-President, in the third year, this individual provides continuity to the Board of Directors, is Chair of the Nominating Committee, and administers the annual BSNUG membership renewal process.

Directors-at-Large
The Director-at-Large serves a three-year term. There are three Director-at-Large positions with one position being elected each year. These positions administer the post-conference surveys, coordinate updates to the BSNUG web site, follow up with sites that have not renewed their BSNUG membership, act as liaisons to the Regional and Special Interest Group coordinators and serve on Board committees as assigned by the President.

Chair-Elect
Serving two-year terms of office, the Chair-Elect will work in conjunction with the current Regional Chair in planning and executing the spring BSNUG, Inc. regional meeting during the first year of office. During the second year, the Chair-Elect will assume full responsibility for the planning and execution of the regional meeting, and become voting member of the Board of Directors as Regional Chair.

Joyce E. Friedman, Financial Services Director, has been with the Associated Students, California State University, Chico since January 1977. She graduated from Chico State College (now CSU, Chico) in June 1969, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting. After graduation she worked in public accounting for six years attaining her license as a Certified Public Accountant.

Joyce returned to CSU, Chico in April 1975 as the University Internal Auditor before joining the auxiliary staff in her current position. The Associated Students and the University Foundation at CSU, Chico went live with what could be called IFAS I on January 1, 1977. The AS/UF had contracted with Gary Sitton to develop an accounting system to meet the needs of auxiliary organizations, including budget to actual as well as commercial business operations reporting. During 1977 she worked with Gary to update and streamline the system, which became fully operational in October 1977. The software operated on a Varian computer. During 1978 the decision was made to move to an HP3000 MPE operating system. On January 1, 1979 the AS/UF went live on what could be called IFAS II. During 1979 and 1980, she continued to work with Gary Sitton refining and updating the new software to include accounting theory and some specialized reporting processes. In 1981 the first IFAS III system was sold by what is now Bi-Tech Software, Inc. Until 1985 Joyce worked as a part time consultant for Bi-Tech Software, working with approximately thirty of the first sites to set up and use the IFAS system.

In October 1985 Joyce attended the initial meeting of what is now BSNUG, Inc. She was elected Treasurer of the group at that initial meeting and continued in that position until 1990 when she was elected president-elect. In 1991 Joyce served as President of BSNUG. In 1995 and 1998 she was again elected as Treasurer of the users group and continues in that capacity until 2009.

Kelli is a Senior Applications Specialist at Spokane Public Schools and has worked for the school district since December 2002 as the Team Lead for supporting the IFAS system.

Spokane Public Schools has been on the IFAS core Financial modules since 2000 and HR/Payroll since September 2002. They are currently using IFAS 7.7 with an Informix database and are working on moving from Classic to 7i screens and implementing Bid Online and Employee Online.  After that they will tackle the 7.9 conversion.

Kelli has presented at several BSNUG National conferences and served a three-year term as Director-At-Large before being elected to the Secretary position in October 2009. BSNUG is a great organization and she feels that serving on the Board is a valuable and worthwhile experience!
