The BSNUG National conference is held in the Fall, at the end of September or early October. The location rotates each year between the Western, Eastern, and Central regions of the United States. An optional Bi-Tech training day (not included in the conference cost) is held on Wednesday. The conference itself kicks off with registration and a Bi-Tech sponsored reception on Wednesday evening, followed a full agenda on Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning is reserved for a focused, expanded session on a particular topic of interest to IFAS clients - past sessions have included disaster recovery, managing software upgrades, and migrating to 7.9. The conference ends at Noon on Saturday. The National conference has a strategic, big picture format, with more overview classes and presentations and an emphasis on what's new and upcoming with IFAS. Key components of the National conference not found at the Regional conferences are the Executive Forum, and the Open Lab / Grab-a-Tech track. In the past, 30-minute 'Flash' sessions have been offered at some of the conferences. |
The 2010 conference will be the 25th anniversary of the BSNUG organization (!) and will be held at the beautiful Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA. Look for more information by using the "2010 - San Francisco, CA" link to the left. |
The 2011 conference site has been finalized. The conference will be at the Marriott Waterfront, located on the edge of the historic Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD. It is just steps from downtown and close to sites such as the National Aquarium, Maryland Science Center, and Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles. This will be the first conference for the reorganized SNUG (SunGard National Users Group) which will be geared towards SunGard K-12 Education clients. The 2011 conference will include sessions on all SunGard K-12 products in the PLUS 360 software suite instead of just BusinessPLUS (formerly IFAS). The 2012 conference site was voted on at the 2009 National conference in St. Louis and the top vote went to San Antonio, TX. If this site is not suitable, the second choice is Chicago, IL. |
